Grammy-award winning rapper, community advocate, and entrepeneur Wasalu "Lupe Fiasco" Jaco [2022-23 MLK Visiting Scholar] presents his work at the intersection of technology and art.

Combining his interests in cognitive science, linguistics, semiotics, and computing with the expertise at MIT, he takes lyrical analysis to the next level. He dives into the recording industry, digital landscapes, and the mediated experience of rap.

Wasalu Jaco's MLK Visiting Professors and Scholars residency is hosted by Nick Montfort and Mary Fuller through the Comparative Media Studies/Writing Department.
