It is incoherent to protect the Amazon if glyphosate sprays continue, says former Colombian minister

"In the Colombian case, it is incoherent that the protection of the Amazon is being considered when, at the same time, it is returning to the use of glyphosate for aerial spraying," whose negative impact has been demonstrated not only on health, but also on ecosystems, says the former Minister of the Environment of Colombia [and MLK Visiting Scholar] Luis Gilberto Murillo. The politician insists that the realities of Latin America must be understood and, therefore, asks the United States for a direct dialogue with the region to address environmental and socio-economic issues to solve the problems.
