Background
Daniel Byrd is a professor of strategic management at the Keck Graduate Institute. He holds a BS in chemical engineering from Northwestern University, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a PhD in strategy from University of Michigan.
Interests
Byrd’s career has been marked by experience in two distinct domains: business school academia and the pharmaceutical industry. Academically, his research interests include bioscience business strategy and managing strategic networks (social network analysis and diffusion of innovations). In addition, he has several years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in strategy, manufacturing, human resources, and finance.
